THE METROPOLIS SESSIONS ARE BACK! FEATURING JOHNNY LUCAS, CHRIS SIMMONS & MALORY TORR.
The Metropolis Sessions are back! Building on a solid reputation for supporting emerging talent, Metropolis is the perfect setting for up-and-coming artists to perform at the exclusive ‘guest list only’ music showcase attended by a who’s who of music A&R.
THIS MONTH’S LINEUP
Johnny Lucas
Headlining the event will be Johnny Lucas. With influences ranging from 60s McCartney to his own take on modern Brit Pop, Johnny’s easy-to-relate-to, feel-good music will always leave you in a sunnier mood. Using multiple loop pedals and several different guitars, he entertains audiences completely solo while sounding like a full band.
“I loved what you did with the loop pedal. There was so much going on it was like a 5D experience”
Jimmy Page – Led Zeppelin

Chris Simmons
Chris Simmons has opened and toured with the likes of Passenger, Kate Nash, Seth Lakeman, Beth Orton and The Maccabees (not bad right!). A personal connection with his audience – be it passers by, at house concerts or ornate theatres – are critically important to Chris. Expect an intimate and intense performance!
“A truly great songwriter with an incredibly distictive voice”
Jackson Browne

Malory Torr
Opening the Sessions is 20 year old London singer-songwriter, Malory Torr. Often described as ‘quirky and unusual’, Malory has a rare sound using a combination of ukulele, guitar and banjo to create her indie/pop originals. Malory recently opened for George Ezra at his debut album launch in the summer of 2014.
‘Her songs are simple but impressive with an inherent drama that calls to mind Regina Spektor…’
John Kennedy, XFM – Dazed and Confused Magazine
