Metropolis Studios and The Academy of Contemporary Music were pleased to welcome the first student intake, here at the Power House complex in Chiswick, for the opening of the ACM@Metropolis Academy.
The two new courses in Contemporary Songwriting & Artist Development and Music Production are designed to give students an intensive vocational experience combining the opportunity to develop world-class skills, while gaining a comprehensive understanding of the music industry.

The two courses run over an intensive 26-week period at Metropolis Studios in Chiswick offering students, including promising new international artists and producers who can study on a temporary Student Visa, the chance to gain practical music industry skills from ACM’s acclaimed music faculty. Students will also be given the opportunity to learn from Metropolis’ Grammy Award Winning Music Production team on London’s doorstep in the UK’s music industry capital.
Music Production
ACM Industry Qualification
ACM’s Music Production course has been designed to provide students with intensive and practical training, offering a progressive study path, leading to a potential vocation within the music industry.
Music Production students will have access to ACM@Metropolis’ state-of-the-art facilities including the MIT suite, recording studios at Metropolis and further studios as well as networking opportunities at ACM’s Guildford campus (1 hour away by train).

ACM Industry Qualification
ACM’s Artist Development course offers an experience like no other, bringing together the best of ACM’s tutor expertise to provide a ‘real’ A&R experience through tuition and mentoring in songwriting, stagecraft, production, music business, artist marketing and development.
The course will also draw on ACM’s impressive range of visiting lecturers from current, successful industry executives across major and independent record companies, artist management, music journalism, digital media and music publishing.

Further Details
Both new courses are classified as industry qualifications and students will be assessed via a series of practically-based projects intended to help prepare them directly for industry. On completion of the course you will be awarded an ACM qualification.
