It’s that time of the year when the Music Industry tries its hand at reading the future and guessing who will be the acts dominating the charts in the next 12 months. Here at Metropolis we get a buzz from working with new acts and here are just a select few who could make 2015 their own.
Wolf Alice – Dirty Hit Records
After recording their latest EP, “Creature Songs”, with mix engineer Katherine Marks (FOALS, PJ Harvey), this quartet head out on their biggest headline tour yet in 2015. With a hotly anticipated debut album coming and a place on the BBC Sound of 2015 longlist, it could be a very good year for this indie outfit.

Years & Years – Polydor
Having picked up a BRIT Critics Choice Award nomination and a Top 25 single with the infectiously catchy “Desire”, this London trio will be looking to build on the recognition they’ve received so far when they put out their debut LP in 2015.

Rae Morris – Atlantic Records
Already compared to Kate Bush, this 22 year old songstress’ distinct voice makes her definitely one to watch. Her first full length album is released on the 26th of January and listening to her should be one of your New Years resolutions.

Public Access TV – Polydor
These painfully hip New Yorkers were signed after playing just one gig. Listening to their debut EP “Rebounder” it’s easy to see why. Their effortless melodies nod to various CBGB era acts like The Talking Heads and Blondie and their debut album is expected sometime in 2015.

East India Youth – XL
Packed full of chilling electro grooves, explosive choruses and driving rhythms, East India Youth’s LP “TOTAL STRIFE FOREVER” was included on several reputable blogs best albums of the year lists. His follow up album has lots to live up to and could catapult him into the mainstream.
